May Madness

May Madness

May on the farm is always one of the busiest but most rewarding times of the year. Right now, our days start early and finish late, with the routine centred around milking, caring for the herd, and making the most of every dry spell.

The cows are out enjoying fresh grass, which always feels like a turning point after the long winter months. There’s something special about seeing them happily grazing again while the yard becomes that little bit quieter between milkings.

This time of year also means plenty of field work—keeping on top of grass management, and making plans for silage as we look ahead to the summer months. Farming is never really predictable, especially with Irish weather, our recent good spell of dry weather been a gift!

Like many farming families, we’re balancing the practical side of daily dairy farm life with exciting plans for WAWETS too. Testing our waterproof farm wear in real working conditions is still a huge part of what we do because every piece of Irish agriwear we create has to stand up to genuine farm life—not just look good online.

Life on a working dairy farm can be messy, exhausting, and unpredictable—but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is where WAWETS began, and this is where our inspiration continues every single day.
